20 GOOD 2 KNOW FACTS ABOUT ME

EN// Lately I saw a few “facts about me” Youtube videos from different people and I feel like this is a really easy and fast way to get to know people better. So I decided to share with you 20 good to know facts about me.

1. I was born in Lithuania and moved with my parents to Austria when I was three.
2. Before marrying my Name was Magelinskas.
3. I have one small brother that is 13 years younger than me.
4. My parents were both handball professionals and now they are both coaches.
5. I started playing handball when I was 8. Before I hated it (I even wrote that in my diary, haha) and wanted to be a volleyball star like  “Mila Superstar”.
6. My biggest goal as teenager was always to be a handball professional and play abroad (accomplished ;)).
7. I started playing for the Women’s National Team when I was 16 and my first World cup was in St.Petersburg (Russia).
8. In my career I played 146 National Team games including 3 World Cups and 2 European Championships.
9. October the 8th in 2005 was the start of the amazing journey with my now husband Thomas <3
10. After finishing school I left to play handball in Germany but Thomas had to stay for one more year in Austria.
11. Since Summer 2009 Thomas and I are together “on tour” in all over Europe. Striving for the best possible handball careers, but always putting our relationship first.
12. In almost every team I was nominated to be team captain (Sometimes without even wanting it, haha).
13. During my life I was living in 6 different countries and moved places about 13 times (moving within the same city not included, haha). BTW I am still not sick auf our nomadic lifestyle. We can go on for a few more years as long as Jonathan is still small.
14. In the last 4 years we were living 3,5 years in 20 minute reach from a beach.
15. Thomas and I married in Vienna on June 20th 2015.
16. January the 15th was the best day of our lives because Jonathan was born <3
17. I started blogging back in 2015 and I am forever happy taking that decision.
18. My goal as a fashion blogger was to be invited to Paris Fashion Week and when we were living there I accomplished it 😉
19. On the handball pitch I was used to hit or get hit, but in private life I am sometimes shy and need a push 😐 (thanks hubby for adding this one and being the person pushing me, haha).
20. I can’t say NO, especially when one of my boys wants or needs something 🙂

DE// In letzter Zeit habe ich eine Menge “Facts about me” Videos auf Youtube angeschaut und ich hatte das Gefühl, dass man damit in einer kurzen Zeit die Person viel besser kennen lernen kann. Deswegen dachte ich mir ich poste heute mal einen sehr allgemeinen “20 good to know facts about me” Blog Post für alle die etwas mehr Backround-Infos von mir haben wollen 😉

1. Ich bin in Litauen geboren aber schon als ich drei Jahre alt war sind meine Eltern und ich nach Österreich gezogen.
2. Bevor ich geheiratet habe, war mein Nachname Magelinskas.
3. Ich habe einen kleinen Bruder der 13 Jahre jünger ist als ich.
4. Meine Eltern waren beide Profi-Handballer und jetzt sind sie beide Trainer.
5. Ich habe begonnen Handball zu spielen als ich acht Jahre alt war. Davor habe ich es gehasst (das habe ich sogar mal in mein Tagebuch geschrieben, haha) und wollte Volleyball spielen wie “Mila Superstar”.
6. Mein größter Traum als Teenager war es, Handball Profi zu werden und im Ausland zu spielen (Ziel erreicht ;).
7. Als ich 16 war, habe ich angefangen für das Damen National Team von Österreich zu spielen und meine erste Weltmeisterschaft im Jahr 2005 hat in St. Petersburg statt gefunden.
8. In meiner Karriere habe ich 146 Länderspiele gespielt, davon 3 Weltmeisterschaften und 2 Europameisterschaften.
9. Seit 8. Oktober 2005 sind Thomas und ich unzertrennlich.
10. Direkt nach der Matura (Abitur) bin ich nach Deutschland gezogen um dort Handball zu spielen. Thomas musste leider noch ein Jahr in Österreich bleiben. (Dabei habe ich gemerkt, dass Fernbeziehungen so gar nichts für mich sind, also war das ein sehr wichtiges Jahr für mich).
11. Seit Sommer 2009 sind Thomas und ich nun gemeinsam “on Tour” in Europa. Für uns kam aber immer die Beziehung zuerst, auch wenn dadurch ein paar gute Angebote abgelehnt werden mussten.
12. In fast jeder Mannschaft in der ich gespielt habe, wurde ich als Mannschaftskapitänin auserwählt (auch wenn ich manchmal gar nicht so unbedingt wollte, haha).
13. In meinem Leben habe ich bislang in 6 verschiedenen Ländern gelebt und bin mindestens 13 Mal umgezogen (Umzug innerhalb einer Stadt nicht einberechnet ;). Allerdings habe ich noch immer nicht genug von unserem “Nomadenleben”. Für mich kann es durchaus noch ein paar Jahre (solange Jonathan noch klein ist) so gehen.
14. In den letzten 4 Jahren haben wir 3.5 Jahre davon höchstens 20 Minuten vom Meer entfernt gewohnt (zwei Wohnungen mit Meerblick <3)
15. Thomas und ich haben am 20.Juni.2015 in Wien geheiratet.
16. Der beste Tag unseres Lebens war allerdings der 15. Januar.2019 weil da unser Jonathan geboren wurde.
17. Ich habe im Jahr 2015 begonnen zu bloggen und bin sehr froh darüber, dass ich es gewagt habe.
18. Mein großer Traum als Blogger war es immer auf die Paris Fashion Week eingeladen zu werden und als wir dort gewohnt haben, habe ich es tatsächlich geschafft <3
19. Am Handball Feld bin ich unerschrocken, im echten Leben aber komme ich manchmal etwas schüchtern rüber und brauche manchmal einen kleinen Schubser (danke Hubby, dass du diesen Punkt hinzugefügt hast und danke, dass du mir die Schubser gibst die ich ab und zu brauche, haha).
20. Mir fällt es ziemlich schwer Nein zu sagen, vor allem wenn einer meiner Buben etwas haben möchte 🙂
