hot not to die review

EN// Hello my dear friends! Welcome to a new decade and welcome to the year 2020! I feel like the world is ready for a little change. More and more people are interested in healthy eating and veganism seems to be the best way to stay healthy and save the planet at the same time. I feel that that’s an amazing thing and every little step counts.

A few weeks ago I bought the book How Not To Die by Dr. Greger and although the provided information was not new to me, because I already read a lot of books and watched a lot of documentaries, it was a very good reminder. I decided to give you a little How Not To Die review because it’s a great book not only for people that just start informing themselves about vegan food, but also for people like me that already know a lot of things.

So the book is divided in two parts: the first part is all about scientific studies and how different food can prevent you from different diseases or even help you getting better when you are already sick and in the second part of the book Dr. Greger summarizes what to eat to stay healthy and introduces us to the “The daily dozen”. And for me this is the thing that makes this book so special: the fact that you get a real “plan” on what to eat to stay healthy. Other books are just: skip animal products and you’re just sitting there and don’t know what to eat anymore. But How Not To Die even provides you with an app where you can tick off the healthy things you ate and it feels like a game and the only thing you want is to win by ticking off everything, haha (at least that’s how I feel ;). The third picture shows how the app looks like and what’s the “daily dozen”. When I finished the book I immediately also bought the How not to die cookbook and I am very happy with the provided recipes, cause they are quite easy and don’t require a lot of ingredients.

So all in all if you are really into scientific studies and want to know WHY wholesome plant based food is the best food you should read the first part of the How Not To Die book. If you just want to hear about what to incorporate into your diet to stay healthy and what’s the best way to do it, it’s enough to read the second part of the book or even just download the free app “Daily Dozen” and tick as many boxes as possible every day!

I hope my little review was helpful and I was able to motivate you to inform yourself about healthy food! Let me know I the comments if you already have read this book!

how not to die review
